History
North Shore United Methodist Church was created out of a need and a
calling from God to further God’s kingdom on the north side of Canyon
Lake. Rev. Mal Heirholzer was charged with taking a small group of
members from our “mother church,” Canyon Lake United Methodist Church,
and others from the local community and forming of a launch team to
consider what God’s will was for the fledgling congregation. It was not
long before the group had doubled and doubled again, moving from the a
local camp ground meeting hall called “the Bunk Haus” to the Cafeteria
at the Rebecca Creek Elementary School and finally into our own worship
center located on North Cranes Mill Road, near FM 306.
We have recently added a second building, the Faith Center, for
education and music space.
God has been faithful and good in blessing us with a spirit-filled
loving community of people seeking God.
